New look for our living room

The Lord recently blessed us so that we could do some remodeling in our living room. I am so thankful for that. It changed the look of the whole room. I am thankful to have the old carpet took out. Hey Philip, how do you like the way it looks? Your cousins worked hard. They learned to put down flooring and paint and lay tile,etc. Also Keri told me that you said it was time for an update on my blog so this is what you get. Ha Ha. From your loving aunt

Aren't my girls beautiful? I am so proud of them. They clean up real nice don't they? They were in our local fair pageant. Even though they weren't crowned they are winners to me. I love you girls.

I want to thank Tracy for starting this group and for all her hard work and for all of those who have helped out in any way. The pictures I posted of Forever Families will give you an idea of some of the activities and projects that we have. This is a wonderful group to be involved in and support. I will always love you and never forget you. I watched you grow and bloom from a teenager into a beautiful young woman. Then your dream came true and you married and had the family you had wanted so badly. It was a blessing and privelage to be your friend. It hurts so badly to lose you but, I know where you are. You left us at such a young age,only 38. May you rest in peace.

More pictures from our Hawaiian Day at church. Even my husband got in on the fun. Our kids got a kick out of us doing this. They were laughing at us while we did the hula. The baby girl I am holding belongs to a sweet young couple from church. She is adorable.

Today at our church we had Hawaiian Day!!! We had a blast!! We had 5 seniors graduate and one couple in our church who are getting married at the end of this month. So we had several celebrations at once. Our fellowship hall was decorated beautifully. I thought you might enjoy looking at some of the pictures. Here are some of my children.

I am so honored to be a part of this group. I so appreciate Tracy and all the hard work she does. She is an amazing woman and I want to get behind her and help and encourage her in anyway I can. If you don't know about Forever Families it is a 501c3 group that helps adoptive and foster families. Tracy told me today that somewhere in the range of 40+ foster and adoptive children have been helped in some way. That is amazing. I think it is something to get excited about. Hats off to you Tracy for all your hard work and sacrifice and to your husband and children for their sacrifice of you. This is something near and dear to my heart so I may be talking a lot about Forever Families and adoption and fostering.

20th anniversary

Our 20th wedding anniversary. Some friends of ours let us borrow their 1989 mustang for the day. That was the year we were married. We had a blast. My husband is all dressed to ride a "mustang". This is my dream car. Maybe someday.
